I am looking forward to the Museum's
Christmas dinner 6:00 p.m. Nov. 28 at the Plus 50. It is a time for
museum members, volunteers and Board to enjoy each others
accomplishments and look forward to the next year of activities. This
year we appear to be needing to add more tables so regardless of the
weather we will all be warm. Turkey and cabbage rolls are on the
menu. I am especially looking forward to Finn Anderson of the
Saskatchewan History and Folklore Society coming with a special slide
presentation of some of Everett Baker's photos from the 40's and
50's. Mr. Baker was the first president of the Saskatchewan History
and Folklore Society. He worked for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool as a
field man and in his travels across the province documented through
photography the everyday lives of people. He in essence gave us a
valuable incite into the social, natural and historical development
of this province between 1935 -1957. If you would like to see some of
his work check out their website.
